Rallies

Rally Days

Club hold their rally days on the fourth Sunday of every month (at Ivens Reserve) except December which is held on the first Sunday. The day is intended to provide club members with a social avenue to meet and interact with other club members and to participate in lessons offered by qualified instructors. Our rally day format generally consists of two one-hour lessons – a flat work and a jumping. Generally, the session times available are hourly from 9am until 2pm, with riders of similar levels grouped together.

Attendance fee for rally is covered in the annual fee paid (except for Competitor memberships, where a $30 fee for the first lesson, or $50 for two lessons). All members must book on-line to attend a Club rally. Bookings are essential to attend on rally days as we limit the lesson sizes to a maximum of five riders (and usually four). Details of rally formats are published on-line in the members section – formats may change from one rally to the next to accommodate specialist instructors (e.g. allowing riders of all levels to learn from a specialist dressage instructor). Riders are requested to arrive in a timely manner so they are able to commence their lesson when the instructor is ready. Late arrival is disruptive to the class. All riders are asked to assist either with setting up or packing up requirements for the day.

Twilight Rallies

During daylight saving months (generally January - March), the Club may elect to hold additional evening lessons, usually in 6pm and 7pm timeslots. Participation in such lessons will generally incur a co-payment of around $20. Members are advised details of twilight rallies via the members section on the website and/or email. Twilight rallies do not generally include exclusive use of the grounds.
